MATTS LILJA - Managing Director

Mr. Matts Lilja has been in the video surveillance industry for more than 20 years. In 1993 Matts founded ISG Systems AB, a Swedish company specialized in advanced CCTV and audiovisual information systems. Matts held the position of CEO at ISG until 2007 after which he worked as a consultant business developer for SAAB, assisting them in the forming of a product portfolio for civil security solutions for critical infrastructure. Matts also functions as member of the board for several successful companies within the security industry.

Matts joined OPAX in May of 2008 when he took the position of CEO.

FRODE BERG OLSEN - Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Frode Berg Olsen holds a M. Sc. in Physics and has 12 years of experience as a researcher and project manager with the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI). At FFI, he held the position of project manager within Camouflage and Detection Development, specializing in infrared cameras. He is also an active member of the international research community, including several NATO research groups. Frode has extensive contacts with the Norwegian Armed Forces and has participated as a committee member in a Norwegian research conference since 2001.

Frode is one of the founders of OPAX.

Carl-Hugo Bellmark - Sales and Marketing Director

Mr Carl-Hugo Bellmark has a hi-tech background starting at IBM from Sweden and USA. During his career he has worked in large organizations (1000+) as well as small hi-tech startup companies. Carl-Hugo has been working with sales and marketing in the IT and Security industries for more than 15 years.

Carl-Hugo’s work consists of working closely with the OPAX Partner network and assists them in the sales process with end customers. He will be responsible for marketing activities with OPAX technology partners.

BJØRN BRAATHEN - Vice President R&D

Dr. Bjørn Braathen holds a Ph.D. in Physics and has over 25 years of research experience in signal processing and image analysis, eight of which spent as a researcher in real-time video processing at the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI). Before joining FFI, Bjørn worked as assistant professor in the Physics Department at the University of Tromsø. Bjørn has authored and co-authored internationally published books and papers in the field of image analysis and currently leads the research and development of algorithms for OPAX’ analysis engine.

OLA EDMAN - Quality Assurance Manager

Mr. Ola Edman has a M. Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering and several years of experience from an IT consultancy company where he was a partner. Before joining OPAX, Ola worked as a programmer and QA manager, gaining experience from all phases of software development - from design to the training of end users.
