THE PLATFORM

To quickly realize value, a video analytics solution should be built to be integrated into an existing security infrastructure. OPAX provide an open, software-only platform that instantly add substantial value to an existing video surveillance solution. Both analogue and digital cameras already in place can be utilized, enhancing their value by improving the quality and lowering the costs of surveillance.

OPAX Video Processor (VP)

OPAX Server

OPAX Client/GUI

Performs analysis of video feeds from digital or analog cameras. Can be placed near cameras to minimize bandwidth requirements.

When a rule is broken, an alarm is triggered and sent to the OPAX Server along with image snapshots and alarm video sequences, enabling proactive protection of assets.

Each VP can handle up to 20 cameras simultaneously, providing great scalability and making the solution suitable for large-scale installations.

Provide a centralized and singular management and integration point.

Offers centralized storage of all configuration data, alarm sequences and surveillance metadata.

Handles vast amount of VPs, providing great scalability and low total cost of ownership.

Provides a user-friendly interface for system setup and rule management.

Can handle alarms, provide live view and pre-alarm visualization.

Can be replaced with an existing Video Monitoring System, enabling a single video surveillance interface.

Built To Be Integrated

OPAX video analytics software is based on a modular and open system architecture. All features are exposed via an open application programming interface (API), ensuring ease of integration with video monitoring systems and other third party software.

OPAX place no requirements on brands or models of cameras used and the placement of the Video Processor (VP) is flexible – it can be centralized or placed near existing cameras. This significantly improves the ability to increase the value of an existing video surveillance solution, not requiring further investments in cameras and/or increased network bandwidth.

Simple Setup

OPAX runs on standard x86/x64 PCs and servers with Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 operating systems, making the solution easy to support and maintain. Moreover, OPAX system architecture facilitates single-point software updates that enable customers to cost-efficiently harness future innovations, making the solution future-proof.

The system setup and configuration is streamlined: OPAX detects available cameras without human intervention and the use of a 3D terrain model enables the software to automatically provide the field of view for – and calibrate – each camera, further reducing implementation complexity. When in use, the system continuously self adjusts to variations in weather and lighting conditions, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual tuning.

The Best TCO

The total cost of ownership (TCO) of any system depends on a number of factors: the purchase price; the costs of implementation and integration; the cost of future hardware and software upgrades; the cost of maintenance; and the cost of operator training.

OPAX is built to be integrated into an existing security infrastructure. Existing hardware can be utilized, implementation and integrations are simple, upgrades are easy, maintenance is kept at a minimum and existing video monitoring systems can be used. This enables OPAX to provide the lowest possible TCO while reliably improving the protection of critical assets.
