OPAX Power Station Perimeter Protection is a complete surveillance solution consisting of video surveillance cameras, video content analysis (VCA) software, a video management system and loudspeakers. Using OPAX’s award-winning VCA engine, video feeds from the surveillance cameras are automatically monitored and possible threats are reliably identified. In a scenario where unauthorized people are in the proximity of or gain entry to a power station, an alarm is generated. The alarm sets of a pre-recorded message that is automatically played through the loudspeakers, instructing potential intruders to leave the site. At the same time, a manned central control station receives the alarm along with live video feeds from the site. Security personnel can confirm the threat visually and decide what actions to take.

OPAX Video Content Analysis (VCA)
OPAX VCA automatically monitor surveillance camera feeds, generating alarms based on rules set by an administrator. The rules can use any combination of the following criteria to define what should trigger an alarm in a secure zone:
• Type of object – human, animal, vehicle.
• Direction – the direction in which the object moves.
• Speed – the speed range within which the object is allowed to move.
• Time – the time windows within which the alarm is active.

The software knows the exact GPS position of each object in the surveillance video, which enables map plotting and can be used to direct security personnel.
